PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter which hardly allows a tray to be shifted.SOLUTION: The transplanter includes: a tray feed device 100 feeding a tray 20 a tray conveyance passage movement device 170 feeding the tray feed device in a lateral direction a planting tool 11 planting a seedling 22 on a field and a taking-out device 200 taking out the seedling from the tray and feeding the seedling to the planting tool 11. The tray feed device 100 includes a tray feed rod 121 which performs a vertical feed motion entering in between seedling pots 21 adjacent in a vertical direction among plural seedling pots 21 arranged in the tray in vertical and lateral directions and moving, thereby feeding the tray by an amount of one row of the seedling pots in the lateral direction, then performs a return motion moving out from between the seedling pots and entering in between the seedling pots in the next row, and repeats the vertical feed motion and the return motion at predetermined timings. The taking-out device includes a taking-out member 260 plunging into the seedling pot and taking out the seedling.
