PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a solid preparation containing α-form crystal of imatinib mesylate usable as an antineoplastic, and a method of producing a solid preparation wherein transition from an α-form crystal to a β-form crystal is suppressed.SOLUTION: A method of producing a solid preparation includes a process of granulation of α-form crystal of imatinib mesylate carried out in the absence of water using 80-99 wt.% of the α-form crystal of imatinib mesylate based on the solid preparation. The granulation may be either of dry granulation or melt granulation. In the granulation, preferably, 0.1-2.0 wt.% on the solid preparation basis of any one of talc, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, calcium stearate, a hydrogenated oil and stearyl sodium fumarate is used as a lubricant, and 1-20 wt.% on the solid preparation basis of polyethylene glycol is added as a low melting point substance.
