PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a moisturizing material necessary for an ant rearing apparatus from being molded, discolored or broken.

SOLUTION: By rearing ants within an air-permeable inside container 2 for rearing ants and within an outside container 3 for housing the inside container 2 and the moisturizing material 4, the moisturizing material and the ant living space are separated from each other, and the contact of ants with the moisturizing material is prevented. The ant rearing apparatus further includes an external container 6 connected to the inside container 2 via a connection pipe 5.
