PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately perform correction, even when the accumulation time in a radiation detector and/or the amount of radiation irradiation to the radiation detector change, in a method, and to provide a device for processing radiation images for correcting defective elements in an image photographed by the radiation detector.
SOLUTION: A plurality of pieces of defective element information, based on a plurality of uniform irradiation images acquired for each accumulation time in the radiation detector, and each amount of radiation irradiation to a radiation detector are stored in a database DB. In normal images, the amount of radiation irradiation at a position, corresponding to the center position of a group of defective pixels in the defective pixel information, is identified. For each defective pixel in the normal image, corresponding defective pixel information is extracted from the database DB, based on the accumulation time in the radiation detector and the amount of radiation irradiation to the radiation detector, thus correction of image data, corresponding to each defective pixel in the normal image based on the extracted defective pixel information, is carried out.
