PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-forming vegetable harvester which is enabled to bring a head-forming vegetable having fallen in a farm field, into a proper position and to cut a vegetable rhizome part properly by a cutting device.SOLUTION: A head-forming vegetable harvester 1 comprises: a harvesting work portion 13 for extracting a head-forming vegetable A in front of a running machine body 2 and cutting and transporting the cut ones backward. The harvesting work portion 13 includes: rake-in wheels 16 L and 16 R for extracting the head-forming vegetable A rhizome transportation bands 17 L and 17 R for clamping and transporting a rhizome part of the head-forming vegetable A backward head-forming transportation bands 18 L and 18 R positioned above and at back of the rhizome transportation bands 17 L and 17 R for clamping and transporting the head-forming portions of the head-forming vegetables A backwards and a cut-off device 19 interposed between the rhizome transportation bands 17 L and 17 R and the head-forming transportation bands 18 L and 18 R for cutting the rhizomes of the head-forming vegetable. On a front side of the harvesting work portion 13, there is vertically swingablly disposed a position adjusting member 70 for abutting from above against a ball portion of the head-forming vegetable A extracted by the rake-in wheels 16 L and 16 R.
