PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical guidewire excellent in shape restoration, shaping easiness, and selectivity in a blood vessel, etc.SOLUTION: An external coil body 3 is fixed to a core shaft 2A so as to cover at least the distal end of the core shaft 2A. A long size member 5 constituted of a super-elastic alloy is arranged on the inner side of the external coil body 3 so as to be juxtaposed with the distal end of the core shaft 2A.
