PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky rice transplanter capable of favorably securing ground leveling accuracy of a leveling device.SOLUTION: The sulky rice transplanter includes: rice field height detection means for detecting rice field height, or the height from a prescribed portion of a planting part to the rice field surface a float sliding on the rice filed, with a front side thereof vertically slidably fitted to the lower part of the planting part float angle detection means for detecting a float angle, or a vertical sliding angle of the leveling device ground leveling height setup operation means for setting the ground leveling height of the leveling device and control means that connects the rice field height detection means, the float angle detection means, and the ground leveling height setup operation means to an input side and connects vertical position adjustment means to an output side. The control means acquires detection values detected by the rice field height detection means and the float angle detection means respectively and a setup value set by the ground leveling height setup operation means, calculates a ground leveling height target value on the basis of the detection values and setup value, controls the vertical position adjustment means based on the calculated target value, and adjusts the leveling ground height of the leveling device.
