PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an underpants-type diaper which can secure a wide effective absorbent width of an absorber, and which can make a breakage trace of a top sheet and a back sheet on a girth member inconspicuous.SOLUTION: A production method of an underpants-type diaper of the invention comprises: a step A for transporting a first continuous sheet W4B a step B for laminating plural continuous elastic bodies W4FG and a second continuous sheet W4T on an inner surface side of the first continuous sheet W4B, and jointing at least some of the continuous elastic bodies W4FG and the second continuous sheet W4T a step C for cutting some of the continuous elastic bodies W4FG from an outer surface side of the second continuous sheet W4T or from an outer surface side of the first continuous sheet W4B and a step E for arranging a second absorber body 3 so that an absorber 3AC is arranged in a prescribed area 3R.
