PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting device and a planting container each having high practical value and/or decorative value as an interior one even if causing gaps when covering the outside part of a housing container for plant cultivation bed material or a planting container with a decorative container.SOLUTION: The planting device 1 houses the housing container 2 for the plant cultivation bed material 3 to cover the outside part thereof, and is provided with the planting container 4 having a water-reserving part 5 which receives the housing container 2 and in which water to be supplied to the plant cultivation bed material 3 is storable, and the decorative container 11 housing the planting container 4.
