PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detecting cassette and a radiation image photographing system, surely and efficiently photographing a radiation image by preventing a radiation detecting cassette from being mistaken in photographing a radiation image and achieving power-saving of a battery in the radiation detecting cassette.
SOLUTION: An IC card detecting part 214 of the radiation detecting cassette 24 detects mounting of an IC card 212 to a slot 210, outputs a detecting signal, and reads ID information stored in the IC card 212. An ID collator 160 collates the ID information with ID information stored in a card ID memory 216. A battery controller 218 controls a battery 44 to start supplying electric power to a radiation detector based on a checking result from the ID checker 160.
