PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting machine and a cutting method capable of easily collecting portions separated from a cut object.SOLUTION: A cutting machine 1 includes: a first rotation body 2 rotatable with a first rotation shaft 2A as an axis and a second rotation body 3. The second rotation body 3 is rotatable in a reverse direction to a rotation direction of the first rotation body 2 with a second rotation shaft 3A generally parallel to the first rotation shaft 2A as an axis. The second rotation body 3 is arranged while separated from the first rotation body 2. The cutting machine 1 includes: a first linear member 6 attached on the first rotation body 2, generally parallel to the first rotation shaft 2A and a second linear member 7 attached on the second rotation body 3, generally parallel to the second rotation shaft 3A.
