The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for skin soothing or skin moisturizing containing a mixed extract of Opuntia humifusa and Agave americana as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, a mixed extract of Opuntia humifusa and Agave americana may suppress production of iNOS and COX2, which are inflammation-related factors, to calm skin and increase amount of moisture change of skin and to increase moisturizing power of the skin. Such skin soothing and skin moisturizing effects can enhance a skin barrier by generally improving the damaged skin. In addition, by using a component derived from a natural plant, there is no side effect to the skin, so that the cosmetic composition may be safely applied.본 발명은 천년초 및 용설란 혼합 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 피부 진정용 또는 피부 보습용 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따르면, 본원발명의 천년초 및 용설란 혼합 추출물은 염증 관련 인자인 iNOS, COX2의 생성을 억제함으로써 피부를 진정시키고, 피부의 보습변화량을 증가시키므로 피부의 보습력을 높여줄 수 있다. 이러한 피부진정 및 피부보습효과는 손상된 피부를 전반적으로 개선시켜 피부장벽을 강화시키는 효과를 나타낼 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라. 천연식물 유래의 성분을 이용함으로써 피부에 부작용이 없어 화장료 조성물로서 안전하게 적용할 수 있다.
