PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection needle assembly equipped with a cap which can be easily removed, preferably prevents breakage of an injection needle when being removed, and improves convenience for a user, to provide an injection syringe equipped with the injection needle assembly and a liquid container used together with the injection needle assembly, and to provide a method for operating the cap protecting the injection needle.SOLUTION: An injection needle assembly 10 includes: an injection needle 20 that punctures a living body a hub 40 which holds the injection needle and is detachably attached to a liquid container 60 that stores and holds a liquid and a protection cap 30 which is attached to the hub to cover a puncture part 21 of the injection needle exposed from the hub. The protection cap is equipped with a housing part 35 which opens from a bottom surface arranged on the hub side at least to one side surface continuing to the bottom surface and can house the injection needle.
