PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition applied to the mucous membrane, improving wetting on the corneal surface or a contact lens.SOLUTION: A composition applied to the mucous membrane characterized by containing sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and also terpenoid improves wetting on the corneal surface or the surface of a contact lens to sustain wetting and enhance use feeling of the contact lens.
