The present invention is based on Joint-Electricity Theory that Sue-May KANG, the present inventor, have first in the world hypothesized in 2010, and verified in 2011 that includes that Joint-Electricity is generated from cartilage(s) that in the joint due to it is with property of piezoelectricity when subjected to dynamic compression can generate Joint-Electricity. The said Joint-Electricity has the function of nurturing the neighboring tissue, keeping their lengths and tensions in normal, and getting the neighboring muscles ready for contraction that maintains the muscle strength (when nervous system is intact). The present invention is an artificial cartilage that can generate electricity that can be placed into the target joint, which might be the natural joint that with some pathology or the artificial joint for it. The said artificial cartilage is made of the material with property of piezoelectricity, with its surface made very slick, after it has been placed into the target joint, it can be subjected to a dynamic compression that from the intra-articular joint reaction force of the target joint to generate Joint-Electricity in the said target joint. The said Joint-Electricity can increase the nurturing on the neighboring tissue, keep their lengths and tensions in relative more normal, and increase the muscle strength compared to that before using it. The shape, at least, of the present invention is individualized according to the special problem of the target Joint in order to obtain, at least, its effective range of joint reaction force to generate an adequate Joint-Electricity.本發明人康淑美於2010年首創「關節電理論」,該理論包括關節之軟骨具有壓電性質,能因受到變動之壓力而產生「關節電」,以滋潤關節附近的組織(含肌肉),以維持其適當之長度及張力,並作好後續肌肉收縮之準備,以維持其肌力。本發明為由壓電材料製成之人工軟骨,具有受到變化之壓力能產生電力之作用,其表面光滑,至少能置入人工關節及某些病態之關節,能因受到該關節內適當之反作用力,而產生足量之「關節電」,達到補充關節電於其鄰近組織之作用,可改善該組織之長度與張力,相較於使用前增強其自主運動之肌力。為配合目標關節之個別問題,必要時,至少本發明之外形能個別設計,以確保本發明於使用時能受到至少在有效範圍內之關節內反作用力。1‧‧‧人工軟骨
