An use of medical composition for preparing drug of inhibiting the growth of lung cancer stem cell is disclosed. The herbal composition is processed from heating a mixture of herbal medicines and water and further filter the extract for use. One of the herbal composition of the present invention comprises:Coptis chinensis,Scutellaria baicalensis,Phellodendron amourense,Gardenia jasminoides,Radix Glycyrrhizae, andAtractylodes japonica.本發明係有關於一種醫藥組成物作為製備抑制肺癌幹細胞生長之用途,其中醫藥組成物分別為兩組藥材或藥材混合物,以水萃取加熱或是酒精萃取後,取濾液而製得。本發明其中一組醫藥組成物包括:黃蓮、黃芩、黃柏、梔子、甘草、以及蒼朮。
