The present invention relates to an image material and a method for manufacturing the same and, more particularly, to an atherosclerotic plaque-specific MR image contrast agent and a method for manufacturing the same. The contrast agent of the present invention is an active contrast agent which is able to diagnose early atherosclerotic plaque and effectively realizes the atherosclerotic plaque-specific MR image by controlling the size of the phospholipid nanoparticles and extending the residence time of the phospholipid nanoparticles in the blood vessels. Also, the contrast agent is able to acquire an MR image using an amount less than the existing passive contrast agent and is able to easily diagnose diseases accompanying the atherosclerosis.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014본 발명은 영상소재 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 동맥경화반 특이적 엠알 조영제 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조영제는 동맥경화반을 조기에 진단할 수 있는 능동적 조영제이며, 인지질 나노입자의 크기를 조절함으로써 혈관 내에 잔류시간을 연장시켜 동맥경화반 특이적 MR 영상을 효과적으로 실현할 수 있다. 또한 기존의 수동적 조영제보다 적은 양을 이용하여 MR 영상을 얻을 수 있으며, 동맥경화를 수반하는 질병을 쉽게 진단할 수 있다.
