The present invention relates to a specimen container for preserving tissue, and more specifically, to the specimen container for containing and storing tissue and others collected from a subject in a preservation solution. The specimen container for preserving tissue of the present invention comprises: a cap part in which a tissue preservation solution is contained； a container-shaped housing having the cap part connected to open upper portion thereof； a slit part connected to a lower part of the cap part and in which a plurality of slits are formed to allow the tissue preservation solution to introduce into the housing； and a support spot formed to protrude from the inner circumferential surface of the housing to support the lower edge of the slit part.본 발명은 조직 보존을 위한 검체용기에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 피검자로부터 채취한 세포 조직 등을 보존액에 담아 보관할 수 있는 검체용기에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조직 보존을 위한 검체용기는 조직 보존액이 수용된 캡부와； 개방된 상부에 상기 캡부가 결합되는 통형의 하우징과, 캡부의 하부에 결합되며 상기 조직 보존액이 상기 하우징으로 유입될 수 있도록 다수의 슬릿이 형성된 슬릿부와, 하우징의 내주면에 돌출되게 형성되어 상기 슬릿부의 하부 가장자리를 지지하는 지지턱을 구비한다.
