The object of the present invention is to provide a sterilizer which shortens a heating time inside a sterilization chamber, and minimizes an amount of water used for a sterilization treatment. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the sterilizer comprises: a sterilization chamber which contains a target to be sterilized； a vacuum pump which is connected to the sterilization chamber to set vacuum； a steam generator which is connected to the sterilization chamber to generate and supply steam of high temperature； a water pump which is connected to the steam generator to supply water used for sterilization； a first chamber temperature sensor which detects a temperature inside the sterilization chamber； a second chamber temperature sensor which detects a temperature of steam discharged in a small amount predetermined in the sterilization chamber； and a control unit which is connected to the first chamber temperature sensor and the second chamber temperature sensor to control the steam generator, the water pump, and the vacuum pump.본 발명의 목적은 멸균 챔버 내부의 가열 시간을 단축하고, 멸균 처리에 사용되는 물의 양을 최소화하는 멸균기를 제공하는 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 멸균기는, 멸균 대상물을 내장하는 멸균 챔버, 상기 멸균 챔버에 연결되어 진공을 설정하는 진공 펌프, 상기 멸균 챔버에 연결되어 고온의 스팀을 발생 및 공급하는 스팀 발생기, 상기 스팀 발생기에 연결되어 멸균에 사용되는 물을 공급하는 물 펌프, 상기 멸균 챔버의 내부 온도를 검출하는 제1챔버 온도센서, 상기 멸균 챔버에서 설정된 소량으로 배출되는 스팀의 온도를 검출하는 제2챔버 온도센서, 및 상기 제1챔버 온도센서 및 상기 제2챔버 온도센서에 연결되어 상기 스팀 발생기, 상기 물 펌프 및 상기 진공 펌프를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
