PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleep apnea improving appliance used during sleep for restoring and retaining aperture of the respiratory tract of a person with the sleep apnea, and having a respiratory tract aperture expansion retaining function for restoring the respiratory tract, promoting activation of the brain and stretching upper/lower lip closing force by applying the following such as changing a position of the mandible and causing deviation in a mutual interference relationship of a muscle group constituting from the oral cavity to the larynx.SOLUTION: An expandable instrument body 1 includes a central oral hook body, and upper/lower-edge bent pieces 3. Each bent piece has a thin portion.
