PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bird repellent which, when used for a thatched roof, does not impair aesthetics, has a simple structure, saves labor and cost, and keeps birds away from each other. SOLUTION: The bird protection tool 1 includes a rod-shaped body 2 and a bird protection portion 3 in which a linear member 3a is formed in a circular shape, and the bird protection portion 3 is attached to one end 2a of the rod-shaped body 2. The body 2 is a vertically-divided bamboo material, which has bamboo nodes at one end 2a and is sharp at the other end. The bird shroud 3 is attached adjacent to the bamboo sticks so that the bamboo sticks at the one end 2a of the rod-shaped body 2 can be prevented from coming off.
