PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking and locking mechanism that enables applying the brakes and also locking in the vertical telescopic motion of the vertically extending telescopic strut.SOLUTION: A vertically extending telescopic strut comprises a support tube 11, a connection part 20 at the upper end thereof, and a telescopic rod 15 stored in the inside of these. The connection part 20 comprises a cylindrical body part 21 and a sliding cylindrical member 22 vertically sliding on the outer circumference. The cylindrical body part 21 includes a stopper ball appearing/disappearing in the radial direction. An elastic member is interposed between the sliding cylindrical member 22 and the cylindrical body part 21, and always biases upward the sliding cylindrical member 22 and presses the stopper ball in the shaft core direction. An annular groove part 16 provided at the telescopic rod 15 can be matched, and the telescopic rod 15 is fixed to the cylindrical body part 21. When the sliding cylindrical member 22 is shifted downward, the stopper ball is matched with a diameter size part of the sliding cylindrical member 22 and is shifted outward, the matching of both is released, and the fixing is released. An upper end part in the cylindrical body part 21 of the connection part 20 is separated from the upper end part of the sliding cylindrical member 22. An elastic body is provided at the lower end part of the telescopic rod 15, and this elastic body presses and biases an inner wall surface of the support tube 11.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】上下伸縮自在支柱の上下伸縮動作に際してブレーキが掛かり且つロックもできること。【解決手段】支持管11とその上端の接続部20とこれらの内部に収納される伸縮棒状体15とから成る。接続部20は筒状本体部21とその外周で上下に摺動する摺動筒体22とから成る。筒状本体部21は半径方向に出没するストッパーボールを備え、摺動筒体22と筒状本体部21の間に弾性部材を介在させ、摺動筒体22を常に上方に付勢してストッパーボールを軸芯方向に押圧し、伸縮棒状体15に設けた環状溝部16と適合し、伸縮棒状体15が筒状本体部21に固定される。摺動筒体22を下方に移行すると、ストッパーボールが摺動筒体22の径大部と適合して外側に移行し、両者の適合が解除され、固定が解除される。接続部20の筒状本体部21の上端部を摺動筒体22の上端部と離間する。伸縮棒状体15の下端部に弾性体を設け、この弾性体が支持管11の内壁面を押圧付勢する。【選択図】図1
