A bed for preventing bed sores, having inflatable air bag bodies (1) arrangedin parallel with each other in the lateral direction of the bed, air supply/dischargemeans (2) for supplying and discharging compressed air from the air bag bodies(1) at each predetermined time interval (t) to inflate and deflate the air bagbodies (1), and control means (3) for controlling the air supply/discharge means(2). The air bag bodies (1) are formed to have a circular columnar shape when inflatedand are constructed so that that portion of a cared person (A) where a bed sore islikely to appear is lifted and lowered at each predetermined time interval (t). Also, the air bag bodies (1) are each provided with a blood circulation promotionsection (4) formed by using a material that promotes blood circulation of thecared person (A). The blood circulation promotion section (4) promotes bloodcirculation of the cared person confined to the bed to remove muscle stiffnessand prevents bed sores.
