PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved methods for producing products for intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy which administers purified immunoglobulin (IgG) by intravenous injection.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for preparing enriched IgG compositions from plasma comprising the steps of: sequentially precipitating the cryo-poor plasma fraction and then IgG by a first, a second and a third precipitation steps each using an alcohol of specified concentration and specified pH, and re-suspending the third precipitate to form a suspension； and separating a soluble fraction from the suspension thereby forming an enriched IgG composition, where at least one of the first, the second and the third precipitation steps comprises spray addition of the alcohol. The method for preparing enriched IgG compositions may further comprise anionic and cationic ion exchange chromatography, nanofiltration and/or ultrafiltration/diafiltration steps.
