PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil and fat product for cooking, which is the oil and fat intended for use in cooking, contains a reduced amount of trans acid and is capable of emitting a "hydrogenated oil-like flavor" similar to that obtained by cooking using hydrogenated oil.
SOLUTION: The oil and fat product for cooking has a trans acid content of &le3 wt.% and comprises 1-20 wt. lard and/or hydrogenated oil of 1-20 wt. and substantially having a melting point of 20-40°C and an optionally given non-hydrogenated oil. The oil and fat product for cooking comprises &ge50 wt.% oil and fat derived from palm.
