Furthermore, the present invention relates to a process for restyling human hair comprising applying to the human hair a composition comprising a polymer, wherein this polymer is water-soluble and has a melting point of at least 145° C and comprises sulfonic acid groups, and an organic amine, and optionally further cosmetic ingredients, thereafter heat- treating the hair, together with the composition on its surface, thereafter allowing the hair to cool down to a temperature of below 100° C, and thereafter changing the hair style by heat- treating the hair.
