When used as an active ingredient, bornyl acetate or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof according to the present invention exhibits the effects of improving behavior scales in an animal model, inhibiting the activation of microglial cells and the production of inflammatory factors (COX-2 and iNOS), and reducing nerve excitability resulting from a response to cell-nerve stimuli.
