A method for treating a skin wound of a subject is described. The method includes contacting the skin wound with a therapeutically effective amount of a wound healing composition comprising glycoprotein nonmelanoma clone B (GPNMB) protein, an active peptide fragment thereof, a GPNMB analog, a GPNMB potentiating agent, or a combination thereof.Linvention concerne une méthode de traitement dune lésion cutanée chez un sujet.
