PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a method for efficiently combining epigallocatechin gallate as a functional component with fiber, and to provide an antibacterial or deodorant filter having a sufficient amount of added epigallocatechin gallate so as to have an expected effect and a manufacturing method of the filter excellent in its endurance.
SOLUTION: In the filter, the fiber containing a metal ion of divalent or more, is combined with an epigallocatechin gallate-containing composition.
