PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit humor in the tubular organ of a human body from counterflowing from a distal opening of an introduction assist device with a side hole to the side hole, when the introduction assist device with the side hole is used.SOLUTION: An introduction assist device 11 with a side hole includes a tubular body 13 to be inserted into the tubular organ of a human body. A peripheral wall of the tubular body 13 has a side hole 21, and a medical instrument can be introduced into the tubular organ through the side hole of the tubular body 13. Further, the tubular body 13 includes a backflow restriction mechanism at the distal end thereof for restricting the backflow of the humor in the tubular organ from the distal opening of the tubular body 13 to the side hole 21.
