PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel cytisine salt, a solvate or hydrate of a cytisine salt, a method for producing a cytisine salt, a pharmaceutical composition and a therapeutic method. The cytisine salt of the present invention is selected from cytisine mesylate, cytisine gentidinate and cytisine maleate. It is prepared by incorporating it into a stable pharmaceutical composition containing lactose. For preparation, a stock solution of an acidic salt-forming solution is added to heated cytisine, and then cooled to room temperature is used. The cytisine salts, solvates or hydrates of cytisine salts and pharmaceutical compositions of the present invention can be formulated in the treatment of nicotine addiction.
