ECO-FRIENDLY METHODOLOGY FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF 2,2-DIMETHYL PROPANOATE COMPOUNDS CATALYZED BY LIPASE IN SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE AS A GREENER REACTION SYSTEM.
The present invention offers an efficient green protocol for the synthesis of novel 2,2-dimethyl propanoate esters in the SCCO2 as a reaction media. This method has numerous advantages like use of the green biocatalyst and reaction media which fulfilled a complete green chemistry aspect. Moreover, the present invention reports an efficient method for the synthesis of various types of alkyl 2,2- dimethyl propanoate esters with broad substrate array like (alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, phenyl and heterocyclic alkyl). The reaction method used is very simple, recyclable and suitable for scale-up applications which involve the simple down-streaming process to get preferred product.
