PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for specifying an ingredient which participates in a mechanism causing alopecia in a living body and has an action for especially inhibiting an advance of apoptosis in hair, and for improving mammalian alopecia including male type alopecia.
SOLUTION: The present invention provides an NT-4 activity-inhibiting peptide having a receptor bonding inhibition effect and NT-4 homo/hetero dimer formation inhibition effect necessary for expressing a neurotrophin-4 (NT-4) signal inhibition effect, or a modified product thereof, and provides a use of the peptide or the modified product thereof as a hair-restoring and growing agent.
