PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental composition and a pretreatment material for dentistry which does not need performing a pretreatment such as an etching treatment or primer treatment before using a curable composition, can be used suitably as an adhesive for dentistry, a coating material for dentistry, and a pretreatment material which can be applied to the dentin directly, and to provide a kit containing them.SOLUTION: The invention provides a dental composition consisting of (A) a radical polymerization monomer having an acidic group in a molecule, (B) a radical polymerization monomer not having an acidic group in a molecule, (C) an aminocarboxylic acid chelating agent, (D) a polymerization initiator, (E) water, and (F) an organic solvent.
