PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic imaging optical system capable of being reduced in dimension in the direction of an optical axis while improving performance, and an endoscope equipped with the same.SOLUTION: A stereoscopic imaging optical system comprises: a front lens group Gf having a single optical axis a rear lens group Gr having a single optical axis, arranged on the same axis as the front lens group Gf a pupil division part 2 disposed between the front lens group Gf and the rear lens group Gr and able to divide a luminous flux and a deflecting part 3 disposed between the front lens group Gr and the rear lens group Gr and configured to deflect a luminous flux.
