PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to give stretchability in the girth direction to a more appropriate part.SOLUTION: A disposable diaper includes a waist belt 70 which is attached detachably to a waist-side end part in a back-side section B and engagement parts 73 which are provided respectively in the opposite end parts in the length direction of the waist belt 70 and can be made to engage with the outer surface of a front-side section F. The waist belt 70 has a first domain 70A which is positioned on one side in the longitudinal direction and expands and contracts elastically in the length direction and a second domain 70B which is positioned on the other side in the longitudinal direction and expands and contracts elastically in the length direction, and these first domain 70A and second domain 70B are so constituted that they are different in the force of contraction in the length direction. By detaching the waist belt 70 from a body part 10 and by replacing the upper and lower sides thereof with each other, the position of the region having a stronger force of contraction in the waist-side end part can be changed to the upper or lower side.
