PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide surgical forceps which can prevent a pair of gripping parts from widening excessively by using a connecting shaft as an axis when fingers of an operator slip off from the pair of the gripping parts and allow the operator to grip the pair of the gripping parts easily again and to insert the finger.SOLUTION: Surgical forceps comprise a pair of forceps members 6a, 6b having a tightly-holding part 1a, 1b for tightly holding an object at one end 2a, 2b and a gripping part which is gripped by a hand of an operator and where a finger is inserted at the other end. The pair of the forceps members are connected by a connecting shaft 8a provided on intersecting parts 7a, 7b that intersect to relatively open and close, and the pair of the tightly-holding parts are opened and closed by opening and closing the pair of the gripping parts with the fingers. The surgical forceps include a pin 9 fit in the intersecting part of one forceps member and an arc-like hole part 11 which is provided on the intersecting part of the other forceps member and where the pin is inserted to move.
