PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily wash the distal end operation part of a work part with respect to a work mechanism of a medical manipulator and a washing method.SOLUTION: The work part 16 of the manipulator 10 is provided with a hollow connecting shaft 48, wires 52, 54 and 56 of a power transmission member provided on the connecting shaft 48, and the distal end operation part 12 provided on one end of the connecting shaft 48 and operated by the wires 52, 54 and 56. At least a part of the distal end operation part 12 is covered with a cover 160. A gap 51 is provided between the cover 160 and the connecting shaft 48, and a hole 183 is provided on the left and right side parts of the cover 160.
