Materials and methods related to chimeric polypeptides containing the amino acid sequence of CNP and the C-terminal sequence of DNP. The polypeptides are natriuretic and diuretic, GFR enhancing, cardiac unloading, renin inhibiting and less hypotensive when compared to BNP. The polypeptides also inhibit cardiac fibroblast proliferation.Linvention porte sur des matériaux et des procédés apparentés à des polypeptides chimères contenant la séquence dacides aminés de CNP et la séquence C-terminale de DNP. Les polypeptides sont natriurétiques et diurétiques, améliorent GFR, déchargent le cœur, inhibent la rénine et sont moins hypotenseurs que le BNP. Les polypeptides inhibent également la prolifération des fibroblastes cardiaques.
