The present invention relates to a method for preparing a fluorescent material-gintonin conjugate and to a composition containing gintonin as an active ingredient for promoting neural progenitor cell proliferation or neurogenesis. According to the present invention, gintonin labeled with a fluorescent material is prepared, thereby labeling the fluorescent material on a lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) having a small molecular weight and tracing target cells of gintonin or principles of interaction with organs in vitro and in vivo studies.
