PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which is advantageous for improving image quality in mammography.SOLUTION: In scintillator including a scintillator layer for converting radiation to light, the scintillator layer has a first edge which constitutes a portion of an outline of the scintillator layer, and a second edge which constitutes other portion of the outline. The first edge and the second edge are located on opposite sides with respect to the center of the scintillator layer.
