The present invention relates to a dual-bearing reel which enables a handle to be smoothly rotated upon manual operation of a spool even when drag force is generated by an electric motor. The dual-bearing reel (100) comprises a reel body (1), a handle (6), a spool (2), a spool shaft (4), a drag mechanism (3), a first rotation transfer mechanism (5), a setup member (10), and a first control unit (11a). The spool (2) is rotatable relative to the reel body (1). The spool shaft (4) rotates the spool (2) in response to rotation of the handle (6). The drag mechanism (3) has an electric motor (3a) configured to break rotation of the spool (2) in a direction in which a string is released. The first rotation transfer mechanism (5) has a first planetary gear mechanism (28) configured to transfer rotation between the electric motor (3a) and the spool shaft (4), and the spool (2). The setup member (10) is movably mounted on the reel body (1), and is configured to set up and operate drag force of the drag mechanism (3).
