PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductive electromagnetic apparatus which reduces variations in magnetic susceptibility of magnetic material shims and suppresses a deterioration of magnetic homogeneity of a superconductive electromagnet.
SOLUTION: The superconductive electromagnetic apparatus includes a low-temperature container 1 enclosing liquid helium 4, a plurality of superconductive coils 3 arranged within the low-temperature container 1, a vacuum insulation container 2 containing the low-temperature container 1, a radiant heat shield 5 arranged between the vacuum insulation container 2 and the low-temperature container 1 to surround the low-temperature container 1, a plurality of magnetic material shims 8 attached to an outer wall on the inner circumference of the vacuum insulation container 2 which improve magnetic homogeneity of a uniform magnetic field generated by the superconductive coil 3 in the vicinity of the center of an inner space 6, a gradient magnetic field coil 7 arranged on the inner circumference side of the magnetic material shims 8 and generating a pulse magnetic field for image processing, and a super insulation 11 wound in a plurality of layers and arranged between the magnetic material shims 8 and the gradient magnetic field coil 7.
