PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microbicidal composition having excellent bactericidal effect, excellent bactericidal and therapeutic effects to wound surfaces in particular, and capable of maintaining the bactericidal effect over a long period of time.SOLUTION: The microbicidal composition can be prepared by adding to water (A) with silver particles (B) and is characterized by a silver ion concentration of 30 mass ppm to 1000 mass ppm. The average particle diameter of the silver particles (B) contained in the microbicidal composition is 50 nm to 500 nm.
