The radiation device comprises a radiation guide (31) for directing radiation whereby the radiation guide (31) is configured for receiving radiation from at least one radiation source (20) in a side-lit configuration. The radiation device (30) comprises moisture transfer channels (32) inside the radiation guide (31) for enabling moisture transfer from the skin through the radiation guide (31) to the environment. The shape of the walls of the moisture transfer channels (32) is adapted for redirecting radiation in the radiation guide (31) towards the skin.
