The invention relates to a device (1, 1′, 1″) for detecting an unhealthy situation of a person lying down, wherein means for sensing the position of the person lying down are provided and there are further means that cause the person to react when an unhealthy situation of the person lying down has been sensed by the means for sensing the position, wherein the means for sensing the position of the person lying down are configured as at least one switching means (8, 9) and wherein the means that cause the person to react are configured as a vibrating means (3) and wherein a housing (7) accommodates at least the vibrating means (3), a power supply (4) and an input/output means (5) and also the at least one switching means (8, 9) and the housing (7) are fixed to a band (6).
