The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a fusarisetin compound, a stereoisomer thereof, or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. The present invention further relates to a pharmaceutical composition or a food composition. The fusarisetin compound contained in the composition of the present invention inhibits melanin biosynthesis and also suppresses expression of tyrosinase-related protein-1 (Trp-1) or tyrosinase. Accordingly, the composition containing the fusarisetin compound can be used for skin whitening or for preventing, improving, or treating pigmentation.본 발명은 푸사리세틴 화합물, 이의 입체 이성질체 또는 이의 염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 화장료 조성물, 약학적 조성물 또는 식품 조성물을 제공한다. 본 발명의 조성물에 포함되는 푸사리세틴 화합물은 멜라닌 생합성을 억제하고 티로시나제 또는 Trp-1 발현을 저해하는 작용효과를 나타내며, 이에 따라 상기 푸사리세틴 화합물을 포함하는 조성물은 피부 미백용으로 사용하거나 색소침착의 예방, 개선 또는 치료용으로 사용할 수 있다.
