PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect forces applied to left and right feet during exercise, and to make a user recognize the way of forces to be applied to the left and right and conscious to perform an exercise without left-and-right imbalance.SOLUTION: A passive exercise device includes a pair of footrests 211, 212 on which the left and right feet are placed, respectively, and which passively exercises the user by displacing the pair of footrests 211, 212 with a drive means 30 comprising a drive source. Each of the footrests 211, 212 has a force detection means 511, 512 for detecting the force applied to each of the footrests, respectively.
