A pharmaceutical composition and a method of using the pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of thrombosis are provided. The pharmaceutical composition can include a mixture of proteolytic enzymes, and optionally, additional compounds. The pharmaceutical composition can include an antiaggregatory or anti -thrombotic compound, such as Lisini racemici acetylsalicylase. The method can include administering the pharmaceutical composition to a patient in need thereof, including administration of the pharmaceutical composition to a thrombus until the thrombus is dissolved.
