An appliance for the grooming of furred animals comprising a tubular body part forming a handle and an airflow duct connectable to a vacuum cleaner, the distal end of said body part being flared out to form a head part communicating with said airflow duct； a comb assembly being pivotally supported from the forward edge of the opening of said head part with a comb orientated more or less normal to the longitudinal axis of said body part or tilted towards a user of said appliance to make an angle with the longitudinal axis of said body part in the range 90 to 60 degrees； said comb assembly being pivotally displaceable by various means inwardly from its said deployed position into a retracted position within said head part where said comb is exposed to and swept by airflow generated by said vacuum cleaner, thereby removing accumulated hair.L'invention concerne un appareil pour le toilettage d'animaux à fourrure comprenant une partie de corps tubulaire formant un manche et un conduit de flux d'air pouvant être relié à un aspirateur, l'extrémité distale de ladite partie de corps s'évasant pour former une partie de tête communicant avec ledit conduit de flux d'air ； un ensemble peigne étant porté de façon pivotante à partir du bord avant de l'ouverture de ladite partie de tête, avec un peigne orienté plus ou moins normalement par rapport à l'axe longitudinal de ladite partie de corps ou incliné vers un utilisateur dudit appareil pour obtenir un angle avec l'axe longitudinal de ladite partie de corps compris dans la plage allant de 90 à 60 degrés ； ledit ensemble peigne pouvant être déplacé de façon pivotante vers l'intérieur, par divers moyens, de ladite position déployée à une position rétractée à l'intérieur de ladite partie de tête, ledit peigne étant exposé et balayé par un flux d'air généré par ledit aspirateur, en éliminant ainsi les poils accumulés.
